Applied to a job. Passed assessment. Heard back from recruiter 2 weeks later and had a great phone screen. He said their scheduling team would be reaching out to schedule interviews in the coming days. 2 weeks and nothing. I tried reaching out after a week and no response. Is this normal? 🥲 TC: 200K
Same thing happens to me 2 time in past 6 month. Not sure what is going on in google.
This is perfectly normal now a days in Google. My onsites were scheduled 3 months after clearing the pre-screen round
Not just now, this happened to me in 2019. Google has always sucked at this.
Google has always been notoriously slow. It took me 5 months to get my offer back in 2015
Yes. Google is notorious for ghosting people at the various stages of the process. About 5 yrs ago I was told everything was a go and my package was sent up for final approval and then……silence. Reached out to the recruiter multiple times after giving them a lot of time, but he ignored me. I assume they either retracted the job req or put a pause on hiring or something, the issue I have is Google recruiting total lack of transparency. I find it selfish and disrespectful. Candidates spend a lot of time preparing for the interviews, going to the interview in person (as I did), we deserve to know where we stand. I’d even take an automated email telling me it didn’t work out over ghosting. I assume this recruiting culture of Google stems from the arrogance about being “Google”…..except this isn’t 2005 anymore, you’re not the cool kid, you’re a middle aged dad, relax.
It happened at doordash fir me
Very common because there are 100s of people who have already passed the entire loop and are waiting for team match. And there 100s more who passed phone screen and are yet to be scheduled for interview loop. The truth is there are few open positions in USA and recruiters keep on interviewing people just to show they are doing something.
