https://www.businessinsider.in/careers/news/github-lays-off-entire-india-engineering-team-at-least-100-employees-hit/articleshow/99054865.cms I know that these are part of layoffs announced in Feb. But the Entire Engineering team seriously? #workmeme #layoffs #tech
@BingLaden I don't know who told you that Indian engineers just do low quality work. This is pure racist. Look at CEOs in major companies. I was among those who were laid off. Their were projects entirely owned by India used worldwide. Critical projects were closed in a snap. May be it was done by people who think similar to you without real data.
The Indian engineers from witch do very low quality work. The ones from IIT and BIIT and top 50 US colleges do very very very good work. Unfortunately the former is probably 80% of Indian engineers …
Can you elaborate on the critical projects ? https://twitter.com/GergelyOrosz/status/1640585325192912898?s=20 Most folks seem to be of the assumption the teams worked on non core stuff
Also wasnt the setup of India office a new one for GitHub and folks were less than a year in GitHub ?
Wow they didn't have time to complete vest then
Cannot speak in detail about projects due to NDA. But the India office was 3+years old. And what does core stuff mean to you?
