Given same pay, same level Microsoft Netflix Nvidia Airbnb Google Meta Amazon Snowflake Apple Apple LinkedIn Databricks Uber OpenAI Stripe Tesla SpaceX Twitter MidJourney
Picked OpenAI because it sounds cool
Definitely none of the above. For the same money, I would pick a chill company or one that adds value to society.
Twitter because there's no 🍿
Any of these companies that is remote-first or let’s me work remotely without RTO or ever going back into an office. TC: 90K
90k is it a part time job !?
@donga go and touch grass
I can’t think of any company cooler than sending people to space in a revolutionary manner
How's that revolutionary? In my opinion, it's stupid. Improve the planet you stay on first before spending dollars, emitting toxic gases, using large areas for testing, risking lives for exploring space or another rocky body.
Most people disagree with your opinion, Google. Who cares, go explore
🤡
Tbf, if you get rid of under-leveling and lower TC, Google probably is one of the best places (eg. Benefits, wlb, perks, etc.) I honestly prefer working in the office so RTO isn’t an issue for me
Why do people like Microsoft over LinkedIn? Isn’t LinkedIn better by all means? I get that people are interested in MSFT, but LinkedIn peeps get the same too.
LinkedIn has weird leveling. Senior requires 3-7 YOE even though pay is sde 2 equivalent and staff requires 8+ YOE even though TC is barely 400k-450k which is senior equivalent. And most of their roles are based out of the bay area and require RTO so when amortized to Microsoft TC kinda matches up.
I can't believe 4 people chose Stripe 😅 Everythng looks great from the outside.
