How much do they pay Glassdoor typically ? Can someone explain the kind of relationship between Glassdoor and these companies (and how does that differ as compared to “non-engaged” employers) ?
Aside from helping them with marketing themselves, Glassdoor takes some of the data directly from the employer for the reports that they do (instead of the reviews).
“Engaged employer” doesn’t mean they pay, it means they are actively engaging with their Glassdoor profile - responding to reviews, posting photos, etc. (which they can do with a free employer account). Paying partners get extra features like no ads from competitors on their profile, Feature a Review, advanced analytics, advertise on competitor profiles, jobs promotion, etc.
Forgot to mention actively trying to get negative review removed
They definitely get negative reviews removed, even ones that don’t violate Glassdoor’s TOS.
It‘s a pay to play model
It’s the opposite of what Glassdoor advertises as their value
