I have heard Glassdoor removes negative reviews on employers request. Is that true? If so, isn’t Glassdoor a scam?
100% they will delete anything if you’re a paying company and you contact them.
Even scams are profitable !!!!
I work at Glassdoor - couldn’t be more false. Strict church and state policy between our content team and our sales team.
You’re right, it’s coincidence that only the critical or negative reviews are found to “violate Glassdoor’s community guidelines” or whatever wording you’d like to use.
Seems like a sweeping over generalization, but sure...
For companies that pay they can pin their own review at the top. Also the default Glassdoor sort is the favorable reviews. To see negative reviews you have to sort by date
It’s funny how Glassdoor employees deny but site performance tells a different story. Maybe things have changed in the past 4 years though
So what does the site performance tell you? I am interested to know. Or is it just another attack without any real data? Some numbers please.. may be you know something we don't know
When Glassdoor started posting jobs, everything changed. That could just be user perception.
Glassdoor rules, haterz drool
Yes. An instance of this is described in Bad Blood, the book about Theranos.
Can you say more on what was described in the book?
They were able to get a review removed that said they had illegal practices. It was Elizabeth’s bf who got it taken down
I have had my comments removed. I got an email saying they'd remove my comment for some incriminating information, but there was nothing incriminating in my comment. And there no specific reason. I tried correcting my comment twice, it was still not posted. If glassdoor is a open platform then you should not scam users, when paying clients complain.
Jeez. Somebody just bought us for $1.2B all cash. Either they are stupid and we're the real Nigerian Prince, or whatever you're weaving is total BS
