Interviewing for a mid-level (5 years exp) technical infrastructure role at GoDaddy in Scottsdale AZ. Can I shoot for 110k salary without them balking? Also, do they typically give sign-on bonuses for those types of roles, and if so, what is the range?
What is technical infrastructure role? IT or SRE?
You’ll like get slotted senior 1 or senior 2 and easily get 110k base. I would shoot for 125.
@mmasq: yes, no, irrelevant @hdtswvaw: not SRE or IT, closer to IT though @bittie: you really think so? title is not “Engineer” per se, but requires quite a broad range of technical skills (scripting/programming in JS/Python, small amount of webdev, DB and SQL knowledge, data pipelines, etc)
Any hope of a decent sign-on bonus though? Some like 8-15k? Or lower? Or nothing lol?
Also, I have about 8 years total exp, just not all in webtech. still related though (enterprise storage for ibm, operations research engineer for semiconductor manufacturing)
Sign on bonus is definitely possible, just ask.
Did you clear the interview? Did they give you a number? Whats your current TC?
