Hi All, I got the following offer with godaddy for Senior Data engineer L3. I think it's a little bit low and compensation wouldn't increase if I move from my current role. Offer: 140k base 10% Bonus 75k RSUS(30/30/20/20%) Around 30k refreshers in year 2. Total around : ~172k Current TC ~170k Base 137k Bonus 13% RSUS. 48k/4yr got around 23k extra refreshers How high can I get this offer? I was expecting at least 200k. EDIT: both roles are 100% remote. I'm currently located in San Diego, CA. I have no competing offers, I'll be doing Clever onsite tomorrow, then Google phone interview Wednesday and Apple onsite on Friday UPDATED OFFER: BASE : 145K BONUS: 10% 14.5K STOCK: 80K 4yr/ 30%/30%/20/20 Refreshers around 30k based on performance TC: Year 1 around 203k, 2,3,4 around 190k Does it makes sense to switch companies with such a little increase in compensation? Recruiter mentioned this is in the higher end for L3 but also told me in the first call that I was between l3-l4
Only switch to lower TC if the new company name carries weight and you can progress to a higher TC on the next promo within 2 years tops.
Fair offer for L3, don’t you think? Not compared to your current TC of course. If you think the numbers aren’t per your expectations, keep looking. Good luck.
I think the offer isn't that bad but I saw another offer at around 192k for L2 that's what I'm asking. I do also have Clever, applez, and Google in the pipeline I guess it makes more sense to keep interviewing
I think so too. Don’t accept an offer you think isn’t worth your while. Trust your gut and go for what you think is a fair number. All the best and good luck.
