Does $135k salary + $75000 bonus seem like a low offer for a 2nd year associate in global markets? NYC office
Yoe? Current TC?
YOE: 6yrs TC: 155K
What is the fresher TC in Goldman for a strat role in Global Markets?
$120k if NY, $75k in Dallas, $15k relocation. Year end ~$20k (pro rated)
So total is $155k in NY(120+20+15)?
that sounds like a good offer. VP in global markets with 11 years and I'm at 240k. my understanding is that I'm middle of the pack. 2d year associate 210k is a good offer
The division and the role should matter a lot. Which role are you in?
strats front office London
$125k + $50k is the generic 1st yr associate pay across the street for NY front office roles. Your figures are in-line for 2nd yr associate. However this is highly dependent on the team and role
That's not true. 125-175k is standard base range for Associates + 75-125% of bonus depending on product area (IB, Cap Mkts, S&T)
I was offered $120k base + $55k bonus as a 3rd year analyst
Lol no it doesn't sound bad. Actually pretty solid.
Probably
But you work like 80hours a week... I think any fang even Microsoft 2-3yoe beats that number no? Especially Microsoft where you work 25 hours per week, I though front office make several fold of their base as bonus
Seems kind of low to be honest. Global Markets in strong front office group at BB should be getting 150k base + 75-100% bonus as Associate
Is it 75k bonus every year? When I was senior assoc my bonus was 40-45k but with higher base
What is your exact role and what will you be doing? Just because it's GS doesn't mean you landed a hotshot job.
Right? I landed a job at state street after college and it was all basic work for 🥜.
