L66, 200K base, 100K cash over 2 years, 300K stock over 4 years. Curently L7 PM at Amazon 360K TC.
How much do you make at Amazon right now?
Updated
Isn't Microsoft offer going to be a pay cut for you then?
With annual bonuses it should add up to ~20% pay bump.
Your amortized TC at Microsoft is $340k. $200 base + $40 bonus + $75 stock + $25 sign on
Shouldn’t it be 200 base + 75 sign on stock + 50 sign on cash + 50 cash bonus at meets expectations + 50 stock bonus at meets expectations = $425?
It's actually 72k stock at meets expectations for L66. Not all of that stock will vest in year 1 though. 1/5th will.
I've seen two L65 offers over 450k tc just this year so far. You can do much better.
L65 PM 450k? Impossible
You know nothing. It's very much possible and offers like that are being extended quite frequently.
Look at levels.fyi and compare. Don’t accept the initial offer.
levels.fyi is saying $325K for Principal PM Manager. That can’t be right.
It's wrong
How exactly is a product manager evaluated? As an engineer, it's a bit of a mystery to me. Is it just based on revenue added (incl retention gains), attributable to your delivered product initiative(s)? OP I'm also curious as to your YOE and previous experience.
I take ideas or ambiguous spaces and turn them into 100s of millions in revenue. I define and refine release definitions that our teams can build, and roll my sleeves up with the team to ship the products and work with customers, sales, marketing, BD, and many others to build momentum in the market and deliver on revenue plans. I have 16+ YOE and a track record across the industry.
What percentage of your products fail? And what percentage of your product enhancements fail? And have you ever failed to deliver revenue gains in a PM role? Curious what roles you've had previously, and if you've always been a PM
What did you end up doing? Did you join MsFT? What was your final negotiated offer? I may be entering in the same arena soon. Updates appreciated. YOE 17 L7 AWS PM
Have you finally get in to MSFT and what is the final offer?
