I am looking for a nice neighborhood to move in SF, which is commutable from Twitter HQ. Any suggestions ? Requirement - 1 BHK Budget - 2-2.5K
Nice as in close to Restaurants, Muni / BART, a bit clear...
Lol nice and Bart stops don’t go in the same sentence in the city.
Marina, Nob Hill, Pac Heights (north side), South beach kinda
Most of the west side is also pretty nice. Personally I’d stay away from mission, soma, south beach and dog patch right now until stuff reopens
Inner sunset! Depending on where exactly, you could bus/walk to forest hill station and from there get anywhere downtown pretty quickly. Noe valley is another safe option walkable-ish to bart. Hayes Valley also underwent major gentrification over the past decade and is quite central. Underrated imo. Marina/Pac heights were less my style, but they’re safe
Tenderloin
Tenderloin is a very diverse neighborhood. Or mission. Or hunters point. Or inner Oakland
Don’t forget India Basin, Bayview, and the Potrero Hill housing project.
Commutable meaning what? 3 stops on BART? My friends in Oakland meet that. Within X minutes or miles during non-pandemic times? Easy non hilly bicycle ride?
Look up where your CEO lives and find an apartment near there.
Define “nice”. By most people’s standards, there aren’t any left in the city.
Not even remotely true.
If you’re someone who loves inner city dwelling there are lots of hopping places. If you’re someone who wants that nice quiet clean suburb feel the options are thinner, but exist. You need to head west for that, or south out of the city.
