I'd like to know too
How much are you getting out from this and when did you join?
They raised around 300M, so VCs take their money off the top, now you are left with 3.4B. A good rule of thumb is that half of your options get diluted. So assume you are employee # less than 100 and you got 0.1% options, you will be left with 0.05% * 3.4B = 1.7 million. How much you make will depend on the strike price you received, but assuming it's negligible, you will still have to pay taxes on that 1.7M. Assume you are in the highest bracket 39%, then you are left with around a million. I assume there is California tax on top of that, but not sure how much is that. This assumes you received no refresher, which isn't the case typically but I have no idea what's their refresher policy so I'm not factoring I in. It's great if your employee # less than 30 or 40. Good up to 100. After that, it's ok --
cool story bro
Shouldn't the VCs get a higher return?
VCs have multipliers, so they might have taken 2x/3x off

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
For someone who joined 2013, how much will they get after this. How do you usually do the math?
Here's my guess. They raised $50MM in jan 2013. Probably at a valuation arnd $300MM. A fresh grad would have gotten 2-3 basis points over 4 yrs. That is worth 740k-1.1MM. Now there's dilution. High performer would have gotten a sizable refresher etc
Highly doubt its that high.
