Should I marry a lazy girl?
How hard is it to work at Google in San Diego? I’m planning to move to SD and have always wanted to be a part of Google. I like SRE type stuff, and being in the office most days of the week with my team. Unfortunately it looks like most products at that location are embedded or something to do with the Fitbit acquisition. I’d love any responses on any of these topics: Can I work from SD on a mostly-remote team? Do they need SRE’s there? Does physical location matter a lot? Are there any rumors you’ve heard of the SD office (that you can post)? What is it like being a Google SWE/SRE in a satellite office? YOE: 6 TC: $130
It could be tricky to get a job in San Diego mainly because it’s a fairly small office. If you were, it would almost definitely be for embedded work and not SRE. Your best bet would be to work remotely from San Diego. I think after the pandemic this will be more common.
Are there sales roles in the San Diego office?
No
