Please share your experience and process with us as we begin another cycle of Google APM application… #product #productmanager #pm Application opens today 20Sep2021 Submitting Application 1. It takes a week or two to hear back after submitting application 2. They barely send rejection emails so if you don’t hear back after a month, consider other options First interview 1. First interview is a phone call from a junior/senior product manager and it’s just 30mins. 2. This interview is all about PRODUCT DESIGN 3. Sample question: choose your favorite product, tell me what you like and dislike about the product, and how you will improve the product. Second/Final interview 1. This is 5–6hrs (about 5 interviews) with 15mins break after each session. 2. 4 interviews with product managers, and 1 with software engineer. 3. Interview is based on product design, product strategy, Analytical thinking, and technical. Written Assignment 1. As part of the final interview, you will be required to complete a product design paper and write about 6pages paper on your thought process. This was the experience from last year’s interview process. Kindly share yours below.
What is APM? And where do you know “applications are open” for 2022? I thought it was apply to positions whenever they’re posted?
APM is associate product manager program, and no you can’t apply to positions anyhow for this. It opens today and closes on 22… read more about it online
I have a phone interview for APM intern
Congrats man, please keep us posted on the outcome
Update: pretty sure I bombed it 😞
I wonder why is the application open only for 3 days. Is it because again like last year they converted all ~30 interns into FT? Looks like they hardly give a chance to non-interns so they don’t want to receive too many applications unlike before.
I bet that’s the case this year too.
I don’t know about the timing but the apm program is extremely competitive (much harder than most positions at Google that require more experience)
Is it limited to US?
No
I just learned about APM/PM as careers a few months ago, now I’m trying to read as much as I can to catch up. Glad I discovered it in time for apps. Good luck!!! 🤪
So OP, I shouldn't apply if I don't have coding experience?
Coding isn’t require.
OP, are estimation questions still part of the interview structure? You didn’t mention it above.
Estimation is also the same as analytical as stated above
Applied and finger crossed
You heard back from recruiter?
Have you heard back from your phone interview yet? If so how long
Finally a post from Amazon that isn’t about PIPs
OP already left Amazon for better that’s why 🤣🤣😭😭
Cheers to you friend! To the one that got away! 🥃
