Google staff and Amazon PE is not a fair deal afaik? Amazon PE is "god mode"? Can you please elaborate if this is true and how it compares to other roles at Apple and Nvidia?
Amazon PE is not god mode anymore. Bar has been lowered and many mid level L6 had been promote to L7 just to stop attrition but these L7s are really operating as high end L6 in reality.
Apple high end ICT5 is close to reality of god mode PE/Staff roles . Nvidia PE is comparable to high end L6 of Amazon based on the visibility .
12yoe and a PE.I trust u bro
Of course you should add that lol.
Thatβs a good comp from Apple especially if itβs remote. Stability is probably good as well compared to the downturn that seems to be happening over at Intel and may affect the other chip companies. WLB depends on the team and project, same for leadership opportunity. Nothing unique about Apple there. Iβve seen fast promotions and also well defined ceilings for entire teams where no one is moving up. Itβs a conversation worth having with the hiring manager before saying yes.
Thanks for very meaningful comments.
Apple offering remote means a lot. Offer for top range ict5 can go higher. Career growth beyond that will likely mean management, because ict6 is exceptionally rare.
How do you give interviews while working at amazon? Please tell me the reasons you give to Employer to take time off? Please DM if needed
I would say at some level of seniority if you have really spent your time doing quality things you get little bit lucky to not to worry about much prep. Design and leadership interview is just another day at work. For coding, I attempted to do LC in past but I hate it. So I just relied on my basics for coding.
Congrats! What org in AWS you are in? How was the interview experience? LC, Design and what?
Congrats! Surprised apple offered remote. Would definitely pick that if I were in your shoes
Why would you leave for a lower TC?
Which one ? You mean lower than current comp after stock plunge or the comp on paper with high rsu price before stock plunge ?
Comp on paper. Unless your thought process is to get into another company at lower stock prices now and ride the upside eventually
I have approx 15 yrs exp and I think if I am in your situation I would stay in AWS .. (definitely not easy to go out and prve yourself unless you get a challenging project) .. Apple and Nvidia will not be in my list if its software Engg is role .. If its Hardware then these options make sense and I would pick Apple .. BTW I hate Amazon as a company when it comes to employment still its a great company to build a career. I work for Google and it would be my top pick if its swe role ..
I would actually take Nvidia at these levels. The stocks can easily double.
Google giving the lowest as usual. I really hope they pay for this mistake in the future
They wonβt. This is why they pay the least.
They still have plenty of other candidates, google will be fine
