1. Does google has any commute benefits to use public transportation? Like orca card in Seattle? 2. Also, which neighborhood would be great to rent an apartment in? Looking for something under $1400 3. Does Austin campus offer all meals who go to office ? #tech #google #austin Tc 160k
1. Yes, before the pandemic you were able to use cap metro for free. That said, there are relatively few places to live where that would be desirable. It's usually easier to bike if you are close or drive if you are far. 2. I'm not familiar with the apartment market. Probably can get somewhere on the east side for that. 3. Breakfast + Lunch, no dinner.
So do we get free parking at google downtown office then?
Yup if you’re full time
You will find it incredibly easy to own a car in Austin. Everyone drives here.
Aye did dell close their offices permanently? I just moved to round rock and heard this.
No we were going to go hybrid on January 4th but delayed due to omicron. Most teams are flexible so remote is ok, but some teams and people want to meet face to face sometimes so there will be offices for that in round rock and parmer.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
They have gbus for sure, only local public transport is the bus otherwise and can’t recall if there’s a subsidy but i don’t think so. They used to have free scooters (lime) Under 1400 you’re looking at south Austin or riverside or round rock They offer breakfast and lunch
Do they still have free scooters or no longer the case?
It was paused due to pandemic, might return idk
