Unless you are a top PhD grad with several ICML, Neurips papers, it's the same as swe new grad. If you are in CV, NLP, and are a top PhD, I've seen up to 400k.
Gotcha. How about university professors who join as full time research scientists? Is it true that some of them get blank checks?
Well there is no blank cheque but they join at L6 L7 so obviously they command very high salaries (and deservedly so)
