It's well realized that won't Google isn't allowing ad blockers anymore as it will hurt their bottom-line in the near future and they have effectively achieved total market share in Chrome, Youtube, and Search. And they're heavily pushing paid ad-free versions Youtube Premium. Also heard they're testing 5 ads a video now. https://www.theregister.com/2022/09/08/ad_blockers_chrome_manifest_v3/ Question: will Brave be able to keep blocking ads on Youtube? Since Google own Youtube I don't think they'll be able to. #google #ads
this is why you need to support other browsers.
You know the end of tech growth is near, when - Netflix is clamping down on shared account - Google adding bazillion ads to YouTube - Apple adding ads to Maps - Uber/Lyft/Airbnb raising prices to turn profit etc. - Meta raising price on Quest2 It was good while it lasted.
We don't care about the users who hate ads to the point that they block it using 3rd party software Because, they wouldn't click the ads even if they're shown, there by increasing the "click:views" ratio for ads
But if everyone blocks ads then there’ll be no one to click especially with the younger gen. That’s why they’re pushing premium
Of course, fuck the dumb fucking users They want us to build and keep the software running for free? Just so their lazy ass could sit on the couch jerking off to underage girls twerking on social media? No ads, no service Pay for premium or GTFO
