Does google have DE’s ? I have never come across a google DE role :(
For actual data manipulation using a scripting language and not DSA, I would highly recommend creating some files using Mockaroo then writing your own code to practice joining, filtering, aggregating, etc. Make some csv, json, parquet, etc., and make them share some dimensionality and/or identifiers. Of course, you’ll need to come up with a handful of related data schemas in your head to facilitate useful practice, but if you are applying to FAANG data engineer you should probably be able to do this. For SQL just install MySQL and play with it, or use a free tier Azure or AWS account.
