Google Engineering Leadership approach

I applied for Google SWE, but a recruiter answered with Engineering Leadership role (seems like she only hires them) I have a 30 minute schedule with her next week, but not sure if I would be prepared behavioral questions. (I would rather to practice LC instead) Would I get asked “Tell me about ....” type of questions on this? Or just a casual talk. TC: 🥜 YOE: 8

Reach out to the Recruiter about what you must anticipate for the discussion.

This makes sense actually. Just wanted to get more insights from people here if possible.

Probably not an interview but just a time to touch base about your background and what the position is.

Hope this will be the way. Cuz, I suck at creating imaginary never-happened scenarios, and failed just because of this a couple of time. I hardly get in conflict with my co-workers, and when I do, I just make a follow-up meeting and resolve conflicts by ease. But this doesn't satisfy recruiters for some reason.

Sounds like you will fit right in at Google. Don't bother applying at Amazon though.

With the recruiter? Nothing much. If you come in for an on-site, you’ll get a mix of “tell me about a time...”, “what would you do if...” questions, together with large scale system design and a little bit of coding.

Thanks for the info. At some companies even recruiters ask those behavioral questions, and don't like my storytelling even I have strong tech background. Then they say no phone screen for you.
