Where would you prefer to work as far as overall company and team culture? I'm targeting the companies in the title within the bay area. Please specify why in the thread especially if you worked at more than one on the list.
Are the voters ignoring the Pentagon AI contract and censored Google in China? Or am I missing something?
Votes are early but surprised Google surpassing fb by a margin. Or maybe Googlers have a bunch of free time to spend on blind at work. :)
I work at Facebook; but voted for Google - likely my next career destination in 2 months after the November 15 vesting.
Why
You ask yourself why on earth G is considered ranked 1 engineering-focused company (I mean for CS). Just some recent technology google have come up with - Cloud - self-driving (surprisingly G is not tagged as an automobile company) - pixel that peers compare with mighty iPhone - Assistant - custom ML hardware (TPU) that beats Nvidia’s latest gen GPU by a factor of 2 on performance/dollar metric - package like TensorFlow that leads in respective space Now, ask your FB buddies to list comparable tech in recent years from the entire org.
