Current role at Workday is P3 product manager. Tc: 230k Offered TC at G (Bay Area) - Base: 140k Stocks: 280k/4 years (33% front loaded first two years) Bonus: 15% Without front loaded vesting, the offered TC is like the same as I currently make at Workday. Base is 20k lower so that also sucks. I’m going to be promoted to P4 in April at Workday and I am expecting to clear at least 260k then. How do I negotiate here? Or is it better to stay at Workday for P4 promo (senior) and go for L5 PM roles?
I think I’ll make less at G than in my current role 2 years from now for sure. Especially with 22% vest. I know G refreshers are good but workday P4 refreshers are probably higher than L4 refreshers at G

Declined G offer, going to try to keep it valid for one year. See if they will bring me in on As L5 with some re-interviews after I make Senior at Workday

Not sure what ladder is but it’s for a team In GCP in Sunnyvale. Offered level is L4 and I have 7 yoe (2 as PM)
Seems like a standard offer for your profile. Not much you can do here since level is not negotiable. Maybe get a tiny TC bump if you have a competing offer but tbh, it's rare for anyone to want to pay out of band for an L4 since the process is annoying.
