I interviewed for Google for SWE III position. I cleared the technical rounds and team matching, but got rejected by Hiring Committee. Told me they couldn’t provide any feedback. The recruiter said I had positive feedback from tech rounds. Could I try again with a different team without repeating all technical rounds? #google
Nope. HC reject decision stays for 1 year

Nope
Strange, I thought hiring committee comes before team matching? Also, is this for Google India?
It depends on the recruiter US position

Hiring committee rejection is not based on the technical interview. The most common outcome from HC is either selection at the same or a down level. But rejection that too without any feedback means either; 1. [Rare] You gave an uncommon answer in the Googlyness round, which was not appreciated. 2. [common]: Your answers were assessed at L-2 level. When there is a doubt, a few rounds are requested again but this feedback will be announced to you. There are a few other reasons but they are even more extremely rare. HC rejections are stayed more than 1 year.
You mean the Googlyness answers were assessed at L-2 level? The person was specifically interviewing for the SWE III role, doesn’t the interviewer know that? Do interviewers actually note down the answers given by the candidate? How does the HC know if the candidate was assessed at the right level?
You are mixing two points together; read again.
Never heard of anybody getting past tech screen, TM, and on sites to get mega denial at HC. 🤣
Similar thing happened when I was at another Fanng. The candidate couldn’t pass because they mentioned their experience of using user data which was very risky and had possible harm
Is techlead your buddy?
