Google Hiring Process
Google Hardware recruiter keeps me in the loop saying “we are reviewing your application” (without me asking). I got another offer recently and asked the recruiter if we can facilitate things after telling about another offer. Have I spooked them because they are still early in the process and I already got an offer from somewhere else, or are they really likely to speed things up? Anyone had similar experience with Google or other companies? #hardware #interview EDIT: I haven’t had a single interview yet, but I am receiving “hey no updates, but we are still considering you” emails from a recruiter person 🤷

I love when candidates tell me what offers or late stages processes they’re in. If they’re a good candidate I want to push things forward faster and make it work. If they’re not a strong candidate I can be honest and tell them to take it. I doubt you spooked them
Tell them the more they say loop, the more you see a TC package approach infinity.

Telling them about another offer and having deadline can help accelerate interview process. Happened with me for Microsoft.
Not a recruiter but I guess it really depends on the candidate, urgency or priority. For some candidate they will speed things up, for other candidates it will be different
HW eng here - Told them I got an offer. Now the recruiter said the interviews went well and they’re moving ahead with the evaluation and are ironing out a few details. I guess it helps fast track if you have another offer. Have a call later this week to discuss, will update if they extend a formal offer or not.
how far in the process have you told them? I still haven’t had a single call with them but recruiter keeps updating me that they are “considering” me lol
I had told in the very beginning that I’m interviewing with 3 other companies and that the process would need to be a bit faster than usual. So one week after the interview I reached out and told them I got an offer. Few days later recruiter called and congratulated but didn’t extend an official offer yet. It’s been 1 week since and they’ve said they’re working on some details and I’ll have it this week. Overall - 3 weeks since interview
