Hi, I recently got an L4 offer from Google Bangalore. I would like to understand what is the range of stock refresh and bonus granted at L4 level. CTC offered - INR 65lpa (Includes benefits as well) Break up - Base - 32.5l Equity - 22.5l ($120k - 4years) Joining Bonus - 3.2l Target Bonus - 4.8l (15% of base) Benefits - 2.6l (PPF + Insurance etc) YOE - 3+ years #googlesalary #googleindia
I’ve heard varying numbers. Bonus and refreshers depend on your rating. CME, EE, SEE, S are the four common ratings. There is also an NI - Needs Improvement - but that’s about 1% of the company so let’s not consider that. CME amounts to 16.5% of base as bonus EE is 19% SEE is 22.5% S is 26% Similar multipliers apply for stock refreshers as well. I had 55k refresh for EE + SEE last year as L4 SWE. I’m assuming somewhere around 40-45k would be the target refresh for CME. Be aware that you won’t get any refreshers in your first calendar year.
Thank you!. That was really helpful
What does each rating stand for? I am guessing EE is exceeds expectations.
Can you give the TC breakup as well?

@op did you have competing offers or did they consider your current TC for offering this? My current TC is also same as yours and that also because of stock appreciation, hoping to know if google considers that during salary negotiations.
Google considered my current TC, didn't have any competing offer.
I’m joining Google in December. Will I be eligible for stock refresher next year (December 2021 or January 2022) ?

Congrats Op, great offer, whats your current TC
Thank you :) My current TC was around 55lpa (mostly due to AMZ stock burst)
Congrats. Both current TC and offer are very good for your yoe. Reaping AMZN stock price burst without even vesting, eh nice.
