I am in the team matching phase for SWE L4 at Google India. Already had one team matching round with one new Google Cloud team, which will start developing a networking stack to propel various high-performance computing workloads at scale for GCP. Should I accept this team or ask the recruiter to look for another team? The hiring manager said that the work is going to be on the low-level and mostly on C++. I don't have any experience in networking. Inputs are appreciated. YOE - 3.5 Current Yearly Compensation: 53 LPA Google Offer: To be discussed #google
Location? TC offered? IMO working on C++ requires interest and motivation. but as you are asking this question I assume you don't have much interest in working in C++, so my advice would be to explore other teams as well.
I don’t have any issue working with C++. I like it. But I don’t have experience and knowledge on networking. I guess this role requires in-depth networking knowledge.
ok, what's the location? I am also looking to come back to India, that's why asking.
Op what’s the areas to focus for dsa rounds ? I have one in 15 days
All interesting sounding projects need API and dashboard, majority would work on that. Don't worry about the JD bs
Updated post. The hiring manager clearly said that work will be on the low-level side and will be on C++. This will involve optimizing every layer of the stack.
Adobe's reply isn't correct. Its good that HM was candid in describing the work
