Left Google 10 years ago. On my way out the door my manager fucked my review because he knew I was leaving. He was on the radar for HR and under investigation for his asshole behavior. One of the rare times one of these managers got pinned to the wall by HR and actually was held accountable. As a result he lost his team but I was still stuck with a needs improvement interview on my way out. I’ve been contacted by Google multiple times over the years so I’m assuming nothing in the recruiting system says anything about it. I now have a role I care about doing the full process for and am doing a team match call with a manager soon. So my question is how much can a recruiter or hiring manager see? At Microsoft a hiring manager is only allowed to see last two years. What’s the story at Google? And how do i navigate hiring committee?
Kinda have the same question, looking forward for an answer.
If you do have a friendly connection there still, ask them to investigate if you are eligible for rehire.
Used to work in google recruiting - you’re likely tagged as eligible for rehire or else the recruiter wouldn’t have reached out (or i hope they aren’t that dumb). They had a system change so data from 10 yrs ago won’t be readily available
Can I ask you something dude? I deleted my job profile. Does that have any influence?
Don’t discuss or bring this up on your own. If they bring it up, brush it aside as unimportant and tell them to look at ratings prior to the last one. If the NI was given out after you resigned, just say that.

Women, help me understand why this is inspirational
Don’t worry about it. If you get in, you get in. If you don’t, you don’t. Worrying won’t help.
Nailed it.
