The answer is that, after two years, it will depend on what your ratings were during that time.
What do you mean? I heard I will get merit increase in base salary this December
There is some small baseline increase to your salary but “merit increase” means its a function of your rating. You typically wont get a rating if you haven’t been at the company long enough when they are calculated and if you just made the cut but there wasnt a lot of time to do more than ramp up you will likely receive a CME. I would expect the baseline this year and then next years increase in salary, cash bonus, and most importantly stocks (which you dont usually get the first year) to be based on your next rating. Same with 2024 and beyond. So as your sign on equity vests, the question of whether your equity grants will keep up will depend on what your ratings are.
Yes sounds good. Waiting for some Googlers to comment so I can know exactly what to expect?
Any tips for clearing L4 interviews op ? I have one coming up soon
Depends on which month you join. Your base and bonus will be prorated based on your join date. You won't receive a stock grant until after a calendar year has passed (so it's better to join in November or December).
So if I join in August this year I will receive a stock grant next November/ December which I will actually get next to next year (dec 2024)? Also how much merit increase in base % should I expect?
You can expect probably a 3% merit increase in base. If you join in August 2022, then your next annual stock refresh will be given to you January 2024 (Jan 2023 skipped), likely 75K vesting monthly over 4 years.
What was your interview experience like? Any Lc hards? System design?
No system design …. Interview experience was good. Concentrate on giving a solution and coding for that before you move on to follow up questions
