They can do extra interviews to adjust for level
Yes, that should be okay. Google is open to this? I never talked about levels before assuming they will ask me current trajectory but finally heard back just with a level number which seems down level to me, so wondering to ask to consider for next. I will try to ask for additional interviews
What was your level? Yoe? If they have all the signal they need from your interview to downlevel you they won't give you more interviews. And considering you've already been leveled you're not getting followups
What is your YOE ? Which hardware role you are into? I assume you mean L4 Google. L4 Google base ceiling is 20 percent lower than Intel G8 ceiling. But looks like stocks are quite good on Google side.

OP, can you tell me how long ago your phone screen was and then how long it took to get feedback? Was your on-site virtual and also all the communication that happened between that and your offer? Did you interview directly with your team and then the recruiter let you know that the hiring manager submitted your feedback to the HC? Are you in MTV or Sunnyvale? Things seem to be done differently in Hardware than what is posted for SW, so I would love to hear about your experience
Typo - my question was, how long did it take to get feedback after the on-site, and what were all the steps following the on-site that was communicated to you? And how long did all of that take?
Timelines are quite unpredictable, don’t go by any numbers even your recruiter will not know timelines much. For my case, recruiter submitted packet to HC a month back but couldn’t get specific review date for consecutive 3 weeks of time. I think they are Super slow in deciding if they want to review a particular role candidate or not.

One of my friend had his HC review 6 weeks after the onsite round. Keep your fingers crossed!
Standard steps will be : 1. Feedback after each interview and schedule availability for next . Feedback typically comes a week after each round. 2. Once all interviews complete and recruiter is confident to go to HC there are two independent processes. 3. Team match and HC review 4. If team match happens before HC it’s always good, favourable that’s you will get a role if you make in HC and backs up your case more. 5. HC result is indicated 6. Two more formal permissions from executive 7. Compensation committee discussions 8. Final offer
