I'd previously passed phone stage interviews with Google but the London SE role closed before the on-site was scheduled - I opted to wait rather than look at other locations/roles Google has SE roles advertised in London so I asked to pick up the process again. However the recruiter replied that London's headcount was limited and it has no positions open but if I was open to relocating to Zurich there were positions there . Anyone know why they'd advertise roles that aren't actually open? Brexit? Am I being bamboozled?
Zurich pays better, take it if they offer
I’m trying to apply for Zurich office, and my recruiter said there aren’t open positions there for SWE L3 backend.
