Google Offer negotiation

I have recently received a google new grad offer for DC location. I was wondering how I could negotiate my offer to get a better TC. Current offer: base: 127k stock: 90k/4 yearly bonus: 15% ~19k no sign-on What I would like: base: 127k stock: 120k/4 yearly bonus: 15% ~19k 15k sign-on I have also interviewed and finished my onsite at: Meta: fairly confident I can get the offer Amazon: fairly confident I can get the offer Qualtrics: very sure I can get the offer Palantir: šŸ˜¬ have a chance If I was to get at least those three offers (let's say I get rejected by Palantir) how likely is it I can use those offers to get my google one up to what I want? TC: Intern-too ashamed to even put it on here YOE: 0 #google #meta #amazon #newgrad

You can always use other offers as leverage and ask them to beat. Idk about new grad offers, but Iā€™m fairly certain Google would try to match your FB offer. You can also say something like ā€œIā€™m expecting offers from 3 other companies but if you give me X Iā€™ll sign now.ā€ This is risky if other offers come in much better. That said, I doubt thereā€™s much variance in new grad pay.

Yea I was hoping to say something like what without giving actual numbers of my other offers to get this one up.

Not so sure for new grad.

Google does not really consider competing offers for new grad unless you had really strong interview performance.

darn my recruiter never really told me how my performance was outside of just saying "you passed"

You havenā€™t got any other offers. Donā€™t count your KFC yet.

Yea I should know if I get those offers or not before my deadline so we will see

They might move on equity or sign-on. Base won't move much and bonus % won't either

KBR yerrr4 OP Feb 21, 2022

Yea that's what I am looking for +30K equity and +15k sign-on

Ask 20% higher for base (or higher) and 100% higher for rsu, letā€™em tell you itā€™s not gonna happen, donā€™t do it yourself.

I got FB, Palantir and Google too. All Palantir return interns in DC got 235k. FB was 225k in Menlo Park and Google was 205k in NYC
