Google: Open roles for L3 Interaction (UX/UI) Designer?

Passed the phone screen and was set to do an onsite interview. Spoke with the recruiter as I had some questions, and after learning about my background he switched me from the "New Grad" to the other Early Career hiring track, which forces me to do Team Matching before onsite. I was worried about my application not being as strong compared to those with the onsite feedback, and it looks like that might be the case--I just got a form email from my recruiter saying they have "exhausted all potentially available Design teams open to your skill set and level of hire", but will keep my application open for now. I was wondering if any of y'all had any tips for getting through team matching--is the headcount really tight right now for this level (L3 I assume)? Is there anything I can tell my recruiter to expand the number of potential teams to match with? Or any leads for teams looking for an interaction designer? Happy to also talk a bit more over DM as well, I'm kinda burnt out from swe and would love to get back to a design role. Background: Product Design and Software Engineering. YOE: a bit over 1.5 (split between Product Designer and Software Engineer roles) TC: 115k #design #google #interview #ui/ux #tech
