Hi, A recruiter reached out to me regarding the Product Analyst role @Google. I was wondering what kind of skills would they be looking for and what I should prepare for.
I had a product analyst interview with Google. My recruiter gave me a list of topics that could be covered and I found that they were useful and accurate. Several SQL questions, several product analysis question (how would you design a system for testing user retention), several statistics/high level ML questions (explain random forest regression), and then a couple assorted questions (Bayes' rule). It was mostly straightforward, although with the breadth of topics I struggled to cover everything. I did reasonably well with most interviewers, but in the end I ended up getting a no hire/strong no hire from one interviewer out of 5 which tanked my chances. The interview is definitely doable with enough preparation. Hope this helps
Any Python/R questions or just SQL?
