Contemplating starting around July 1st but am flexible to join a couple days either side. How will performance evaluations be affected if I spend less than 6 months in the role? And any impact on performance bonus?
I'm worrying more about how the GSU grant date is related with start date, since we potentially lose $2.5k each time the stock price goes up 1%.

As in fourth of July has the nearest weekend as off as well.

Some companies have a minimum time employees need to be at the company in order to get a performance evaluation (and get related bonuses etc).
Did Google say that there is 6 month rule? If so when is their reviews; october? If october and if 6 months then we already missed the boat to get bonus/raise.
