2.5 year at Amazon in Seattle , non aws.Promoted to SDE 2 last quarter. Total experience 3.5 years. Goog t3 - 140k base, 300k worth stocks for 4 years., 25% each year. 30 k sign on and 15% target . This is after 2 rounds of negotiation and final. Worth it ? Wanted t4 , recruiter said I am borderline.
Sounds about right.
Thanks, do you think offer is lowball or any more scope to increase ?
Definitely not low-ball offer for t3.
Numbers looks pretty good. How does it compare to your current salary? If it's considerable difference , I would move and get on promotion track quickly
It is more my current is 195 total , this is around 230
Really awesome
Good to know people 5-7 years younger than me are making more money. Lol...
Shouldn't be a surprise being at Microsoft.
I have some of my extremely talented college peers in Microsoft at l62 and one at l63. Yup, I definitely think they are lowest paymasters compared to Fang and that too by far.
Comp is in L4 range. More than lot of L4s I would say.
Any idea what is t4 range ? And is my comp beginig of t4 range ?
140k is more than some T4s. Stocks are worth more than a well performing T4 gets in 4 years. Good offer.
Jw, What did you negotiate with?
Why not change a team and ask for counter offer
I doubt in my new team any one would give a fuck about retaining anyone. And not sure , but Amazon does not do usually bump up pay for same level during team match. It is quite a bad situation right now in retail in Amazon.
Don't listen to people on here. It's a good offer congratulations. I have same experience as you do, how was your interview prep? How was the difficulty compared to leetcode?
I actually did not prepare a lot for interviews compared to what people seem to do. Brushed up standard cs algo and data structures and did around 10 problems per topic from leetcose. Total around 90 mediums. That is it.
Awesome thanks.
This is a very good offer for l3 in Seattle, borderline l4
That's an awesome L3 offer. If you're happy with the comp I'd go for it. Google is crazy about the down level. It will take you at least a year to get to L4. It's reasonable to expect it to happen in that time. If the comp is up, you're moving up. Plus it's a great place to work.
That’s a step back in your career
Ok, I am looking out because my team got merged and got new manager , and not at all liking it . So thought why not try a new company. Goog comp is more than my current comp though substantially.
