Welcome to the club :) Been waiting since december.

Dell LUHV04 Jan 30, 2020

You in SF Bay Area as well ?

Samsung BuddhistMo Jan 30, 2020

Yes. I interviewed at the Sunnyvale GCP building. The only mistake I did was, when asked for teams i am interested in I said Robotics. I am guessing there isn't a lot of robotics openings. Should have said something generic

OP and others who have been waiting, could you walk me through the interview process. Did you have to code? How was system design?

When you pass hiring committee and level?

Oracle sunnyCEO Feb 1, 2020

U need to be able to describe the projects you worked on / ur technical depth ...there is lot of online material and recruiter will send you as well the role expectations and the entire process . My only concern has been that once you go past phone interview -> On-site -> fit calls U get stuck in fit calls since there is no transparency here as it’s upto the hiring manager to decide to take you or not just by talking to you for 30-45 min and based on your onsite interview. I have been through 3 fit calls and did not get selected . The feedback is not very detailed !

Dell LUHV04 Feb 1, 2020

Do you know how many fit calls are allowed ? Does google give up at one point ?

Oracle sunnyCEO Feb 1, 2020

Recruiter says it’s common to have at least 5 fit calls ...lol idk if google gives up but candidate might give up ...since TPM has many behavioral aspects u like pure software dev where it’s binary 0 || 1 , you cannot always be on the same page with hiring manager until u get hired and know how processes in google are .

Hi all, I am beginning my process for a TPM Role at google. The position is a mix of BI and customer service. I have worked on BI but never on the gcp data stack. Any pointers as to what should I keep in mind for my HR, tech and behavior interviews ?
