What happens when most of your team is Indian?
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-google-oracle/u-s-supreme-court-backs-google-over-oracle-in-major-copyright-case-idUSKBN2BS1A9 Who do you support?!
Yay!
Hooray! One giant evil corporation prevailed over another giant evil corporation! 🎉🥳
The poll should have a neither/neutral option.
Ah you are right! Hi folks, upvote this guy if you feel neutral about this please!!
The whole case was wack. You shouldn’t be able to copyright APIs to begin with. Also patent trolling should be banned.
Out of 15M lines of code examined by Oracle, 9 lines are exactly copied. Yes. Please pay $8.8B for this
Regardless who you support, this sets precedence. Now everyone can compete by just copying someone’s API with a different implementation
You mean the common practice in software industry for decades? Like how DOS “copies” IBM BIOS APIs, MacOS “copies” Unix? Or you consider 0.4% similarity to be “just copying” And FYI, the ruling actually explicit mentions that API still has copyright protection, they ruled Google because they believed Google was properly using the API
Lol they mentioned like this “Oracle and Google, two California-based technology giants” Oracle is no longer California based
Or a technology giant :D
Ha ha. +1
How does it matter who we support? Let's go back to work n increase TC
I take you never contribute nor care about the open source projects?
