2021: “…This contract was signed the same week that the Israeli military attacked Palestinians in the Gaza Strip – killing nearly 250 people, including more than 60 children. The technology our companies have contracted to build will make the systematic discrimination and displacement carried out by the Israeli military and government even crueler and deadlier for Palestinians.” Source: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2021/oct/12/google-amazon-workers-condemn-project-nimbus-israeli-military-contract Fast forward to 2024: “…At least 33,137 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli army in Gaza since the start of the war on October 7, the Ministry of Health in Gaza says. Thousands more are missing under the rubble of collapsed buildings and infrastructure, and are presumed dead. Children and women comprise the overwhelming majority of those killed, with Save the Children saying more than 13,800 children have been killed. UNICEF, the United Nations fund for children, estimated that at least 17,000 Palestinian children are currently unaccompanied or separated from their parents in Gaza.” Source: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/4/7/israels-war-on-gaza-six-relentless-months-of-death-and-destruction My question to you is, how do you feel about working at a company that benefits monetarily from blatant genocide? How do you rationalize it? Is this progress and innovation? What if that was you and your family in those stats? Seriously asking because I’m struggling. #google #Amazon
Quit if you don't like it. You can also self immolate if you prefer
All these anti nimbus peeps need to take a big chill pill. These companies are for-profit corporates, not some political or social outlet. Selling to Israel is legal and profitable, these companies have a responsibility towards its shareholders to take it. As long as they're not doing anything illegal like selling to ISIS or Hamas or a designated terrorist organization, this is their shareholders responsibility to meet.
What’s the difference between Isis and Israel at this point? I don’t think isis killed 50K civilians, right?
Israel was attacked by a terrorist outfit in October. They retaliated. No different than the US invading Iraq and Afghanistan and killing civilians. Unfortunate, yes. But a country defending itself nonetheless. ISIS is a terrorist outfit. They are designated as such by the US government.
I don't work for that part of the company. If I did I would quit.
The mistake you make is trusting any numbers the Palestinians give the world. Secondly they fucked around and found out on 10/7 and since. They poked a bear and now cry about the consequences
You’re not ashamed of yourself?
Not even a little bit.
Unless you are a controlling shareholders you dont have right to say anything other than quitting. Beggars dont get to talk. Just stfu
Tell us something more about Project Nimbus except we know from Newspapers.
…except “ for what” we know…you forgot a couple words there, buddy
