Google application/partner engineer layoff chance?

Will be joining gTech as partner engineer or TSC in 2 months. My understanding is it’s like application engineer. How is it doing over there now as do many layoff rumors. Is this org in general safe or vulnerable from layoff? Previously I heard lots of people left hence the hiring. Blind tax:320k
