Here's my experience of last few years. 1. Worst google cloud support, hard to reach out to anyone. AWS is the best in the cloud. 2. Worst gsuite support, hard to reach out to anyone. Microsoft is the best in enterprise products. 3. Worst google pixel warranty support, no way to reach out for warranty cover where there are so many issues with pixel phones. Samsung is the best in the phones. 4. No path to contact as a google one customer. Amazon is the best in retail. 5. If you are not from any of the above, no way to contact google support either. Literally any product/ service company has a direct customer service form or email available on any website. To the curious minds: No, I did not fail Google interview. Just sharing my experience of using Google Products and Services as a customer.

Google is interested in selling ads. Everything they do is a means to achieve more ad revenue. Other than maybe GCP.

Customer support is to Google, what trust is to Amazon, weak point. My friend sold items on Amazon, stationary and craft mostly , a bit unique assortment. Amazon offered to manage the sales and shipping part for her , few months in her sales dwindled. She thought it was because maybe people are not liking it. Later on when she was showing her listing to someone on someone's phone, she saw Amazon sourced similar things and listed their items right next to her listing as suggestions for a cheaper price. Closed her business on Amazon. She went from pillar to post complaining about the guy who was from Amazon helping her manage her marketplace account. Nothing happened. I'm okay with bad customer support I think.
Yes support sucks, but hey, this is why engineers don’t have terrible AWS- level Oncall lol. Engineering haven. And google already makes enough with ads anyways.
