Diversity of race and gender and cultures is critical to diversity of ideas. Liberal conservative is a fairly narrow view of the diversity of ideas. Although conservatives and liberals should be able to Express their views in respectful ways at any workplace also,. It's just not the be all end all of diversity of ideas. While psychological safety of conservatives is a legitimate issue, this rhetoric of diverse ideas is sounding more and more like a political tactic to put liberals on a back foot and generally spam reasonable discussions.
You do realize that diversity in race and gender literally helps drive diversity in views and thoughts right? I take it you're only interested in the views of white men then?

Company gains customer by maintaining its product designers represent diverse real world people or would be customer. It has too much at stake, so it forces a quota

Bringing people into the fold who are capable of doing the work and offer the added benefit of bringing new view points to the table make companies flourish. That includes bringing in different races and genders beyond the over represented white male. After the 10th white male Stanford grad my team has no use for another. Bring me someone different who can also do the work.
agree. but may be it's the Stanford that is the problem. Bring someone else from EU or Asia (irregardless of age, gender or race). Bring someone who went to community college. The diversity should not be based only on race or gender - but you sound like that is the only thing that is diverse. We should not be biased and hire different gender for sake of hiring - otherwise you are being biased your self.

Diversified view will help a company is garbage. You will get consensus much faster if people have similar views, which is crucial for a small company to succeed.
It makes the small company inflexible and it will eventually make a wrong decision because it couldn't see outside of the box. Getting consensus fast isn't necessarily a good thing.
