Google employee charged for kicking a small dog

He admitted to police that he kicked the dog, and it was caught on camera. He said he was provoked, but the video doesn't support his claim. He also said he was dealing with a family issue, many of us are dealing with stressful family issues, but not many go around kicking a 5 pound dog. The accused described himself as a "UX Research Leader" on LinkedIn before hiding his profile. He previously worked for TikTok and Disney. Thankfully, the dog is going to be OK. What do you think should happen to this person if he is found guilty? https://nypost.com/2024/02/29/us-news/google-worker-charged-after-viral-video-shows-him-kick-womans-tiny-rescue-dog-on-nyc-street-sources/

What's with this framing 'Google worker'? Sad, clickbait journalism

T-Mobile enum. OP Feb 29

Probably because the general public doesn't expect highly educated individuals with great jobs to walk around kicking tiny dogs. But he did. Sad.

Google OrangeGod Feb 29

Cruelty towards animals is not a function of education.

Also, he is most likely here on Blind

Microsoft nlvx04 Feb 29

I don’t understand why “Google worker” was necessary to the title besides generating click bait.

T-Mobile enum. OP Feb 29

Likely because it's a lot more unusual for someone in a top tier company to act in such a manner than say, an angry homeless person. It is relevant.

Google jgman Feb 29

Entitled people tend to act this way, is usually less likely for homeless, but could be any job.

lol imagine having to be ina meeting with this guy. Feel like this would taint every interaction.

ByteDance xgoj20 Feb 29

He should replace Sundar since he's got a better reputation in the media.

We ate dogs, not kick them

Honestly, we couldn't clearly see what happened behind that car. Most of the dog owners are arrogant when it comes to public inconveniences.

The evidence will get reviewed and we will see what else is discovered after both sides present their case. It does clearly show him kicking the dog hard, but yes the cars are in the way prior. I think chihuahuas are the most annoying dogs, but they shouldn't be kicked.

What did the small dog do? Was it on a leash? Where was the owner? Once really wanted to kick a small dog myself, unfortunately could not get my legs from the said dog biting it. Lol at the title..

T-Mobile enum. OP Feb 29

The dog owner said she simply told the man to watch out for her dog because he almost accidentally stepped on it and that he then kicked the dog. The man said the dog owner violently attacked him so he kicked her dog. There are usually cameras in storefronts and many buildings, so hopefully the interaction was caught from another angle too.
