Google employees

Why is it that google employees simp for their company and defend them as if they’re part of a family? Do they not realize they’re employees? Do they see working at Google as some massive accomplishment and see working at the company as part of their self worth? It’s the tech equivalent of being a Disney adult… weirdos

Because google is still one of if not the best tech companies out that, amazing talent technology and perks, and most importantly, best prestige (Please hire me google 😭)

Google really got a few things right. I m saying this as a laid off employee. Firstly, they don't pit employees against each other. You could rely on people doing their best work.

Google goggless Mar 25

Lol I feel like nowadays 99% of blind Googlers shit on Google, even in the google private lounge it’s pretty bad

Google wtfGoog! Mar 25

found the strong no hire

Would argue that OpenAI has more simps tbh Also think that the folks simping over Google are the ones bringing the hiring bar down. They’re more interested in telling other people they work at Google vs releasing stuff that improves the world

At least they’re actually innovating at openai

"Improves the world" lol. Someone drank the kool-aid. It's not a bad company, but it's not really doing anything that really justifies saying it improved the world. It nailed monetizing search with Ads, and monetizing email with ads. Those are like, net zero to society YouTube is debatably a net zero, but certainly veers towards a negative for society. What else? Android? It's OK, but it's a commodity, nothing special. GCP? lol. Undocumented, poor release planning, customer "support" consists of gaslighting and blaming the victim of the broken software. Like I said, it's not *bad*, it's just a reasonable company doing it's thing. Maybe it technically improves the world if you take that phrase literally - but I guess I improved the world when I picked up a piece of trash at the park today. That's not what normal people mean when they use that phrase.
