Hi all! I applied to a couple jobs at google and received an invitation to complete google hiring assessment. From the email: Please complete this <30-minute Google Hiring Assessment which will evaluate your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a work context. Does anyone know what that is? Is it a coding problem or something else? Is it timed? It says “<30 minutes”, so I guess it shouldn’t be timed and if it is not timed it shouldn’t be a coding question? I’m so confused lol.
that’s just google’s way of showing off they’re one of the most sought after companies. BS questions in the hiring assessment
Not technical. It is behavioral questions. Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree responses. You will not get to HM interview if you dont pass this. If you fail it …you cant apply for another 6 months.
Thank you very much for the insight! HM? I thought HM interview should be in the very end if I pass all the interviews and get through team matching? Or did google change it? I had just applied 2 days ago, haven’t done any interviews yet.
Meaning the 1st round on-site. Then you move on to second round which is a panel. Then offer stage.
It’s basic behavioral questions. Nothing technical.
Did you end up taking the interview? How was it?
It’s a behavioral test. It’s mostly the same 10ish questions asked multiple different ways.
From my experience this just asks basic questions. Just make sure you answer your question honestly and stick by your answer. if you said agree to one and disagree to a similar question, you're contradicting yourself.
I also got assessment for two of my positions applied! But allows to give only once for both! Waiting for results!
Did anyone heard back from the recruiter or reached out? Passed mine last week but nothing more
When did you get your results of the assessment?
Pass that’s it. Valid for 2 years
How much time does it take to get the results?
I got an assessment for two positions that I applied for. I have not heard from a recruiter yet any tips?
I had a recruiter call to assess if I needed a screening round.
I’m in a process of scheduling a recruiter call too, but it will happen after the deadline of this hiring assessment. I wonder if that’s because I applied to 2 jobs and it triggered 2 independent processes 😳
Unlikely, google has standardised hiring. The difference in teams happens at team match phase, which is why people sometimes dont get team matches. Centrally hired, locally undesirable to everyone.
