I passed 4 technical interviews at Google. Currently I am a 3-1 in ByteDance. TC: 575K. Now the recruiter came back and said the technical part is done but the last interview is to check my ‘googliness’. He said… well he said a lot … can any of those who have passed this, tell me, how to prepare for it and what’s the thing they want to listen.
Get googly eyes
What they mean is —> How conforming to our bullshit are you?
I have a gay friend and don’t say the N word out loud while singing the Kanye songs
Is this supposed to be a Google thing? Because I think every millennial qualifies.
Tl;dr “Tell me about a time […]” type of questions
When I prep for behavioral rounds I just look to see what really common ones are and write down stories related to that topic from my career. Writing it down helps me memorize it so I can just regurgitate the story
Usually Glassdoor or honestly on blind you could search for behavioral questions and you’re sure to find good examples
It's a behavioral round essentially.
It’s an emotional intelligence interview evaluating how you handle morally grey situations / upsetting normal work situations in a mature manner. They are also assessing your ability to be a leader. Good luck!
I think you mean they want to be sure you lack emotional intelligence
merchdog - that's why you at Meta and its a sh&thole
It’s probably a good idea to wear a Noogler spinning hat during the interview if you have access to one.
It's to confirm you won't be a slave driver or a true a**hole
But many Amazonians work there. This interview needs to be scrapped.
After workong at Amazon i am assuring people will devlop enoguh psychotic tendencies to get past such intervoess
Just be Googley, and remember: - Don't be evil
You dropped that slogan years ago…
Liren Chen's level of Googleyness
Typical behavioural interview but don't take it lightly. People can and do fail this.
I passed Googlyness , 2 tech , 1 system design 1 coding was meh, Overall outcome : rejected, not even a downlevel
^ Just too many applicants right now with the current layoffs, so they are very picky. It says a lot more about the market than about you. Chin up bud.
Why r u leaving bytedance?
They probably let him go after he called someone a "bimbo" or "dumb"...
They failed their bytedanciness annual assessment
