How Google looks at someone requiring J-1 visa for an internship, when they have Preferred qualifications: Authorization to legally work in the United States. in the job description? Do they respond to such applications/consider them? (Resume has strong internship experience and good side projects)
Can you link the posting?
J-1 usually means they only want you to be an intern and wont convert you to full time when the internship is over
That's not what it means. J-1 is the visa that tech companies use to hire all of their foreign interns, except for the ones who are studying at a US school
Im telling you what it means for google.
Hey I see you worked at goldman sachs did you require j-1 would like to chat in pm please
Not applying gets you the same end result as applying and getting rejected. Just apply.
This has been my mantra for all job applications. It does not hurt to apply, sure it cost time, like at max 5 minutes, but what if it works out in my favor
