No one "confirms" layoffs. You only come to know when you get a calendar invite out of the blue.

Again nobody ie being laid off.....just there is a new rating for "below expectations" which has been told multiple times to NOT being equivalent to layoffs. In fact you can get that rating twice and only be on PIP...
True. Read through the comments and realized that even I read that article said increase in pip quota. Funny how my brain was still stuck at layoffs. But anyway, even if they layoff 10k people, it's hardly a dent

As a G manager (team of 35) I was never instructed to lay off or put 2% in PIP. If someone underperforming, their manager should work with them on constant improvement, if they still on the lacking side then sorry but there is a bar for a reason.
