we need to be knee deep in a recession before it bottoms
Inflation is out of control which is driving high interest rates. We need the bottom to fall out otherwise this trend will not improve but only get worse making it even more difficult to recover.
In our case, our total head count has not reduced much. We are just laying people off in HCOL countries and replace the workforce from LCOL countries

I disagree! Yes, there is too much of a focus on FAANG and large tech companies. But across the industry layoffs and instability are bad. It is becoming the norm and it’s concerning. No one thinks it will effect them until it does.
Agree with Microsoft. Smaller and mid size companies usually follow the trends of the larger ones. Those that don’t are the exception, not the norm.
Cutting jobs out of US. Moving them offshore. Great leadership.
Yep, capitalism at its finest. Business owners don't care about the working class after all. The only thing that matters to them is getting higher profits, so if that means offshoring, then offshoring is what we are going to get.
