Google offer to H1B transfer filing (Receipt number)
Does anyone have a rough idea of how long does Google take to file Visa transfer and get receipt number after releasing the offer. I believe the process includes Background check, LCA, Visa transfer doc collection and filing. Any idea on number of days?

Initial offer acceptance to filing H1B was 6 weeks. Took 2 weeks to get the receipt from USCIS. Google’s lawyers, BAL are very slow so you’ll have to be making sure they are making forward progress on your case. Hope this helps!

If your visa is expiring inform them immediately. If it is expired, H1 transfer will be started only after your current extension is approved.

My lawyer took 3 weeks to file after receiving all the info needed from me. They reached out to me asking for the info even before the background check right after I accepted the offer.

Yeah, based on my experience within a month of you accepting they should have filed the H1B application. Receipt should be received a week after filing. I would recommend informing them ahead of time if your visa is expiring. They may expedite it. They were nice to work with, but not super fast.
