i need to decide soon both are for senior computer vision eng/scientist roles. cruise's offer is 20% more including their stock. I don't live in the area and if i accept any of these offers I'll be living in south bay somewhere.
Good troll post, obviously Google
Leaning towards cruise now.
Google, unless you care about SDC that much dude
Go to Google if you’re interested in AV tech. It’s no good here.
I wonder how much better it is at Google. Their employees were pretty stealthy so far
It's pretty good here for me.
Cruise all the way! 🚢☀️🌈🏝🍸
Holy moly, your Cruise cash TC is 325k, what the heck. Mind breaking down TC for both.
Probably like 225-250 base + bonus. Not that unheard of
That’s staff not senior. Unless you have pretty different brackets at AV/vision
Chose google if you want to leave in nice suburbs and chill and chose Cruise if you want risky startup in SF. That’s about it.
please break down the TC!
Cruise if you want to move fast and work on impactful things where you get to see your work run on the road. Google if you want to go slow, take your time
Lmao! This is funny. Cruise is so behind that they haven't even been mentioned anymore as leaders in the space. Ahahahaha.
Alright then, salty ex-Cruise employee lmao
If you’re going to live in the South Bay, then choosing Google is a no-brainer to avoid a hellish commute. Cruise is most definitely not a startup any more. You won’t be getting startup upside in terms of money or personal growth, and you won’t get Google’s stability or perks either. Check Glassdoor and other threads here for reports of toxicity at Cruise.
There is some lobbying going on on Glassdoor with fake reviews both positive and negative. Probably a lot of them added by salty competitors. At least with Uber everyone knows publicly that it's a complete shitshow there. Also cruise isn't "killing someone on the road" bad
At least we have revenue 🤣
How many yoe?
Google! Their stock easily beats cruise’s paper money. And more prestige yo!
cruise is not paper money, keep up w/ the times personally I wouldn’t just throw away 80k but to each their own
Since when cruise went public?
