Google wants all to RTO, but they don’t want to provide office space or housing for everyone, apparently.
Dear dumbos, the investment happened before Covid, they applied for a permit before Covid hit or just when we had started. The approval came in June 2021. Since then work from home stuck with employees and there are also AI advancements that make it look like we don’t need as many employees or the growth trajectory is significantly slower. So makes sense to pause the effort.
In 10 years we’ll look back and wonder where the signs were before the tech collapse. This is one of them. It’s over. Don’t tell your kids to study computer science.
No one’s ai worked because on one predicted the current downturn.
